Mongolian Prime Minister Uchral Nyam-Osor paid a courtesy call on Speaker of Japan’s House of Representatives Eisuke Mori in Tokyo on September 29, during his official visit to Japan. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations, interparliamentary cooperation, and trade and investment ties. Prime Minister Uchral reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to further developing its Special Strategic Partnership with Japan and expressed appreciation for Japan’s longstanding support for Mongolia’s democratic and socio-economic development. He also highlighted the importance of increasing the benefits of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, boosting Mongolian exports, and attracting more Japanese investment, technology and expertise. Speaker Eisuke Mori noted the steady development of friendly relations between the two countries and expressed his support for strengthening parliamentary exchanges and cooperation. The sides also discussed preparations to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan next year.
