Secretariat of the Parliament collaborating with the Swiss Parliamentary Services
On January 21, the First Deputy Chief of the Secretariat of the Parliament N.Tsogtsaikhan held an online meeting with Mariya Stasik, Head of Inter-Parliamentary Technical Cooperation and Foreign Relations Department of the Swiss Parliamentary Services.
The officials shared views on broadening and developing cooperation of the parliamentary offices of two countries in the fields of monitoring, evaluation, and training.
Also, the parties underlined the importance of strengthening the capacity of the office, making evaluations on the implementation of laws and regulations approved by the parliament as well as creating a unified database and ensuring citizens’ engagement to exercise the legislative and oversight roles of the parliament.
Since 2017, the Secretariat of Parliament of Mongolia has been developing cooperation with the Swiss Parliamentary Services to improve capacity to make an evaluation on the implementation of laws and regulations.
