Foreign Affairs Minister receives EU Ambassador Traian Hristea
On February 23, Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg received Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia Traian L.Hristea.
At the meeting, the sides expressed their delight that Mongolia-EU relations and cooperation have been expanding and strengthening more in recent years and agreed to intensify cooperation in increasing Mongolia’s export to the European market through using EU’s Generalized System of Preferences (GSP+) effectively.
While congratulating the Foreign Affairs Minister on her responsible appointment, Ambassador T.Hristea stated that the European Union is not only the third neighbor but also a partner of Mongolia. Underlining the importance of a favorable, sustainable legal environment to draw investment from Europe to Mongolia, the Ambassador expressed readiness to share experience on it.
The parties also exchanged opinions on making development cooperation projects to be carried out by the EU in Mongolia in 2021-2027 coherent with Mongolia’s development policies and goals.
