602 new cases of coronavirus reported, total reaches 10,820
April 5, Monday, reported that 602 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours since the last briefing of yesterday afternoon.
In specific, 514 newly confirmed cases were detected in Ulaanbaatar city and 88 in rural regions, including Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Bulgan, Khovd, Selenge, Uvurkhangai, Tuv, Khentii, and Khuvsgul aimags.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 10,820, with the cases registered in the capital city reached 8,906.
Over the past 24 hours, 282 coronavirus patients were recovered and discharged from the hospital, making the number of COVID-19 recoveries 5,931. As of April 5, a total of 2,119 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city and in the rural aimags.
The National Center for Communicable Diseases also reported one new COVID-19 related death, raising the country's death toll to 12.
