Mongolia is to become more favorable place for filmmakers. A draft law on film industry is submitted for parliamentary consideration. It aims to export Mongolia’s film products and promote the film industry through legal grounds in harmony with the economic growth. The bill considers economic promotion and benefits, as well as tax alleviations. Accordingly, any foreign investor in film industry will enjoy 40 percent payback as a government incentive. The filming equipment and other required instruments will be exempted from customs taxes.
