Mongolia is reportedly reselected as an eligible country to sign the Second Compact Agreement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Mongolia is to sign compact agreement with USA. Mongolia is reportedly reselected as an eligible country to sign the Second Compact Agreement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). It was told Regional Deputy Vice President for Europe, Asia, Pacific and Latin America of the U.S.A. Through its Second Compact Agreement, the MCC aims to provide a sustainable and comprehensive solution to a major developmental issue facing Mongolia. Parties are closely cooperating to define the target areas of investment, which are so far identified as increasing bulk water supply of Ulaanbaatar, and improving water supply and sanitation in ger peri urban areas. The preparations for the signing of the Second compact are underway. The sides are working towards signing the agreement in 2017 by demonstrating Mongolia’s improved performance in combatting corruption.
