Mongolian Ambassador to European Union presented credentials. Mr. Och presented diplomatic credentials to President of the European Council. Mr. Ambassador underlined that the European Union is one of the 'third neighbors' of Mongolia and pointed out that Mongolia aims to develop comprehensive partnerships with the EU, extend relations with the EU and its member states and is interested in strengthening trade and economic cooperation in the future. President of the European Council Mr. Donald Tusk said that Mongolia has been successfully maintaining main democratic principles by laying the foundation of democracy at home. After mentioning that Mongolia is one of the important partners of the EU, Mr. Donald Tusk said that the EU highly values Mongolia being consistent with the principles of democracy, even though the country is presently experiencing some difficulties in its economy and expressed his willingness to strengthen cooperation between Mongolia and the EU in the future.
