The cabinet discussed general guidelines on economic and social development of Mongolia in 2018 and decided to submit the bill to the Parliament.

The cabinet discussed general guidelines on economic and social development of Mongolia in 2018 and decided to submit the bill to the Parliament, which puts 18 goals in macroeconomic policy, policy that support economic growth, and regional, rural development and environment policy, policy to support human and social development, governance, legal reform, foreign policy and defense sector policy. The guidelines also included 96 policy measures to implement the goals, their indicators, targeted level, necessary funding, financial sources, long and middle term program and correlation of policy documents. In the framework of macroeconomic policy, for example, a policy will be adhered to stabilize economy in short term and unemployment rate will be lowered by increasing jobs and upholding inflation rate at targeted level. It plans to create condition to make budget balance positive through decreasing budget balance deficit, and to take measures in order to ensure financial stability by improving basic economic indicators and credit rate of Mongolia, restoring investors' trust and attracting investment.
