Repeating earthquakes occurred in Khankh soum
Repeating earthquakes have occurred in a place called Nuurt located in Khodon bagh, Khankh soum, Khuvsgul aimag.
A magnitude 4.4 earthquake was reported at 08:56 am, January 17, another 3.8 magnitude quake occurred at 01:39, 4.0 magnitude at 02:54, while two quakes of 4.7 and 4.4 magnitudes were reported at 05:52, January 18.
The epicenter was in 139 km north of the aimag center and 38 km south from the soum center. Residents of the soum felt the tremor and no damages have been recorded, according to the Emergency Department of the aimag.
Prior to it, on January 12, 6-time earthquakes, specifically, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake was recorded at 05:32 AM in a distance of 30 km southwest of Khankh soum.
