Customs Automated Information System Launched

As part of the electronic reforms, the Mongolian Customs General Administration or MCGA is implementing the "Regional Project to Improve Border Services". Customs Automated Information System or CAIS has replaced the outdated system. With the introduction of the new CAIS, 13 online services for the public and 33 online services for enterprises are available online. Deputy Head of the Main Customs Administration emphasized that the MCGA has pioneered among state organizations, including special government organizations, offering online services for citizens and enterprises. Enterprises and citizens can choose an efficient and convenient import clearance through CAIS, skipping an intermediary organization. The process of clearance not only saves time and costs, but also eliminates bureaucracy and subjectivity.
