Deputy Minister of Road and Transport Development Khaltar Luvsan met with Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Mongolia. At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Minister L. Khaltar said, "Mongolia and India are far apart, but have long-standing historical relations. So far, Mongolian private airlines have conducted more than 10 scheduled special charter flights between the two countries. From the Indian side, a large number of professionals are coming to work in fields such as oil and information technology, while Mongolians travel to India for medical care and pilgrimage. Therefore, we are willing to cooperate in conducting direct flights in the future." Also, they agreed to study the possibilities of transporting mining products between Mongolia and India and to establish a joint working group for trial transportation. In Mongolia, the work of laying new railways is accelerating with the view of establishing eastern, western, and vertical axis railway corridors in the near future. Besides its two neighboring countries, Mongolia has a position to export mining products to third markets and India by rail. This will increase the possibility of exporting coking coal from Tavan Tolgoi to India, reports the Ministry of Road and Transport Development.
