The Governor of the Capital emphasized during a meeting with journalists that trams, taxis, cable cars, and the subway will be developed together. Citing the taxi service as an example, he stressed the importance of registering taxis and drivers. He mentioned that a business model for franchising with uniform taxi service standards is currently being developed. A study indicates that in our country, more than 80,000 people work as taxi drivers, officially or unofficially. This suggests an ample pool of human resources for taxi services. The key point is that they will be offered a new model of a taxi with standard features such as a right-hand drive, a taximeter, and a safe cabin. The taxi business services are scheduled to be introduced to the public next month. One thing to note is that it is quite difficult for electric cars to drive in our country. Therefore, it was clarified that the suitable car for our taxi service is a hybrid. In the future, the taxi service will be categorized into two types: black taxis and regular taxis. Black taxis will be more expensive and high-class, while regular taxis will be more affordable. The Governor of the Capital emphasizes the need to update the fares for taxi services.
