Mongolia captured first bronze medal from Rio 2016 Paralympics. Mongolian judo wrestler Bolormaagiin Uugankhuu captured the bronze medal in the 60kg category winning the Azerbaijani wrestler by yoko-otoshi technique within four seconds. At the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympics Mongolia is represented by 8 athletes competing in archery, judo, shooting, athletics and power lifting.
