Mongolia seeks to revive traditional ties with Cuba. Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj is paying an official visit to Cuba at the invitation of Raul Castro, President of the Council of State of Cuba. Mr. Raul Castro visited Mongolia back in 1970, when he was Cuban Defense Minister. In Havana, Mr. President Elbegdorj will hold talks with Mr Raul Castro. Restoring bonds with Cuba will be an important milestone in Mongolia’s foreign relations, stated earlier Mr. A.Battor, Foreign Policy Adviser to Mr. President Elbegdorj while sharing the views on the historic visit which has been on hold for 50 years. President Elbegdorj will give a lecture at the University of Havana. Thus, the President of Mongolia is becoming the only head of state to give lectures at the Universities of Cuba, North Korea and Myanmar, highlighted Mr. Battor.
