Taiwan to import sea buckthorn from Mongolia
During a recent meeting with Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Mr. P.Sergelen, Taiwan’s Deputy Minister proposed to import large amount of sea buckthorn from Mongolia.

During a recent meeting with Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Mr. P.Sergelen, Taiwan’s Deputy Minister proposed to import large amount of sea buckthorn from Mongolia. Minister P.Sergelen highlighted that the proposed import amount is greater than the amount Mongolian exporters could currently supply. However, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has started a number of actions to promote sea buckthorn cultivation. The national Sea Buckthorn Projectis launched to support small and medium-sized enterprises cultivating sea buckthorn to have prioritized access to loans. Also,a feasibility study on the export of sea buckthorn cultivated in western Uvs Province has been carried out by a French firm. The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry is planning to organize an international conference on cultivation of sea buckthorn in 2017. The seabuckthorn is a super fruit full of all the Omegas – 3, 6, 9 and the rare 7, as well as a host of antioxidants and other healing nutrients. It is used to heal the psoriasis and makes skin glow, boost immunity, slow aging, and lower cholesterol.
