A new venture is established focusing on geological exploration. State-owned Erdenes Mongol LLC and Mongolian Gold Corporation “MAK” have established a joint company named “Erdenes Ashid”. With the main focus on geological exploration, the newly established joint company will also conduct assessments, detailed studies, and manage and operate the concentrate plants and other facilities based on the mineral deposits. Erdenes Mongol’s executive director Ts.Tumentsogt said, "Mongolia has rich mineral resources, which haven’t been explored completely. The present public-private partnership with MAK enables us to explore more. 'MAK' company is experienced in a wide range of mining activities ranging geological exploration, mineral processing to final production.
