Vietnam attaches great importance to consolidating and enhancing its traditional friendship and lasting cooperation with Mongolia.

Mongolia and Vietnam are to enhance bilateral ties. Vietnam attaches great importance to consolidating and enhancing its traditional friendship and lasting cooperation with Mongolia, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh said while meeting with visiting Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsend Munkh-Orgil. The Ministers noted that the two countries should constantly strive to boost political credibility, expand and improve the efficiency of economic co-operation and coordinate closely in multilateral forums. Vietnam promises to collaborate with Mongolia to effectively implement the agreements reached by the two countries’ Government leaders during a visit by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc to Mongolia in July past year saying that both sides should foster co-operation in key areas such as diplomacy, national security, economics and trade. The deputy PM urged to boost export-import of key products, including agro-fishery, rice, tea, coffee, candy, fruits and vegetables. Vietnam also appreciated Mongolia’s intensive and extensive engagement in regional and international forums, highly evaluating Mongolia’s position and their support of maintaining peace, stability and prosperity across the world. Mongolian Foreign Minister Munkh-Orgil highly appreciated the achievements of the bilateral ties over the past six decades. He confirmed Mongolia’s close coordination with Vietnam in the implementation of high-level agreements in a practical and effective manner, contributing to the expansion of the two countries’ traditional relationship and co-operation.
