Mongolia Mining 2017 exposition opens. The 7th edition of Mongolia Mining international exhibition, Mongolia’s biggest and most important mining event launched. Around 130 participants made of companies operating in Mongolia and international mining suppliers from 16 countries including Australia, the US, and Germany, are exhibiting their products and mining equipment at the annual expo. Mongolia Mining offers more than just exposition opportunities, but more events like a mining seminar which comprises several sessions focusing on government policy, Mongolian mining companies, heavy-duty machinery and equipment suppliers, Austrade Ulaanbaatar and Mongolia Mining 2017 exhibitor companies, a field trip to a coal mining site and a networking meeting. The exposition gives opportunities to meet with potential suppliers and buyers of the mining sector, exploring opportunities of cooperation and partnership between local and international mining sector companies, get up-to-date understanding and knowledge of the world cutting-edge technologies, and socialize with industry professionals and prospective investment deals in various projects. In 2016, Mongolia's mining sector constituted 86.3 percent of export, 71 percent of industrial output and 18 percent of GDP.
