Mongolia to announce its presidential candidates by May 17
Political parties’ candidates for June 26 Presidential election will be announced nationwide by May 17, reported General Election Commission.
Mongolia is to announce its presidential candidates by May 17. Political parties’ candidates for June 26 Presidential election will be announced nationwide by May 17, reported General Election Commission. There are three political parties, namely the Mongolian People’s Party, Democratic Party as well as Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party that have seats in Parliament. All three parties are eligible to nominate a presidential candidate. In compliance with relevant laws and regulations, the parties have announced their candidates, Chairman of MPP M.Enkhbold, Chairman of MPRP N.Enkhbayar and Kh.Battulga representing DP. After scrutinizing the documents of the presidential nominees, General Election Commission will decide on whether to approve the candidates or not; if General Election Commission has objections to candidate nomination by a party, the party can nominate a different candidate.
