Mongolia pays respect to the World War II heroes on the occasion of Victory Day. Ceremony to pay respect to the heroes of the war were held in Ulaanbaatar. The events were dedicated to the 72th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the Armed Forces and Embassies of Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan in Mongolia and Mongolian and Russian citizens took part in the ceremonies. Students of the Russian High School named after Yuri Gagarin performed a concert and a mini-photo exhibition about Russian soldiers, who had fought in the war, was displayed at the Zhukov Square. Moreover, Russian people present at the ceremonies were holding portraits of their parents, grandparents, relatives who participated in the war. Mongolia shares the victory in the Great Patriotic War, backing the former Soviet Union by supplying horses and other necessary items and marks the victory every year.
