Mongolia’s biggest conference for the coal industry is to be organized soon. Under the support of the Mongolian government as well as foreign and domestic coal investors, the 7th annual international conference and exhibition “Coal Mongolia 2017” will be held at the beginning of September 2017. The primary objectives of the last six conferences were to attract international investment into the coal sector of Mongolia, introduce advanced technologies and strengthen the competitiveness of Mongolian coal sector in the Asian market. Currently, Mongolian coal export capacity has reached about 50 million tons but actual export is around half of the full capacity. Thus, new objectives of "Coal Mongolia" conference have been renewed to improve structure and conformity of coal export, trade, transportation, logistics and customs as well as to increase the efficiency of the foreign and domestic investments. In order to achieve these new objectives, organisers of the "Coal Mongolia" conference have decided to partner with Fenwei Energy Information Services Co., Ltd. to co-organise "Coal Mongolia 2017". Fenwei is the most reputable and leading coal industry information provider and consulting firm in China and it operates the most popular China coal industry web-portal sxcoal.com. It also hosts two major coal events in China every year, the Global Coking Coal Resource & Market Summit and the Global Thermal Coal Resource & Market Summit. During the Coal Mongolia 2017 conference, the Mongolian Coal Association is going to co-organise "Mongolia-China Coal Business Forum" and its key objectives are to enhance the coal industry cooperation and to support coal trade between these two countries. This additional forum will benefit all participants and is so important that you cannot afford to miss this year. Due to the fact that China banned all coal imports from North Korea and the effect of Cyclone Debbie in Australia, the global coking coal market is facing a significant shortage, which has resulted in sharp increase in coking coal prices. However, it is a great opportunity for Mongolia to revive its coal market and activate coal trade, transportation and supply businesses with its partners.
