These days celebrate the 96th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russian Federation. "Mongolia-Russia cooperation 2017" economic forum is being held in this framework with the participation of representatives of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The forum is hoped to consolidate the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation, enrich the strategic partnership between the two countries, and expand the efficiency of the regional and border cooperation. The visiting First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Economic Policy S.V.Kalashnikov told at his meeting with Speaker of Mongolian Parliament Mr M.Enkhbold that the cross-border cooperation, covering some 60 provinces and cities in border areas of the two countries makes up 70 percent of the total bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Therefore the parties should pay attention to make it more effective. Mr Speaker M.Enkhbold highlighted the legislative bodies of the two countries should work to resolve pressing problems in some fields, such as customs, taxes, and transportation. Widening cross-border and inter-organizational cooperation as well as resolving occurred problems immediately would be the important lever for the intensification of the bilateral relations.
