Mongolia and several EU countries discuss cooperation

Mongolia’s President received the newly appointed Ambassadors of Kingdom of Belgium, Republic of Finland, and the Republic of Austria with their presentation of the diplomatic credentials to the president. During the meeting, the dignities of Mongolia and Belgium talked about ongoing cooperation in the Project on Upgrade of the Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Western Region of Mongolia. The President underlined the importance of a prompt completion of the Project on Upgrade of Western Region Diagnosis and Treatment Center. He also noted that boosting the cooperation in culture, especially, in the film industry, is complied with interests of both countries. President also expressed an interest of Mongolia in a development of some winter sports such as ice hockey and bandy that are very common in Finland. Meanwhile, Ambassador of Austria, Friedrich Stift noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations, and asked the President to attach importance to implementation of the second phase agreement of the General Agreement on Financial Cooperation. Mentioning that opening of the diplomatic representative of the European Union in Ulaanbaatar this year, the President underlined that this is an important event for the Mongolia-Austria ties.
