The fifth Consultative Meeting between authorities for foreign relations, security and defense of Mongolia and Japan was held in Tokyo, Japan. The meeting discussed about deepening Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership in the fields of politics, security and defense sectors, and exchanged views on short and long-term objectives of the bilateral cooperation in the fields. Moreover, the parties reviewed current situation of Asia and the Pacific and exchanged information on some international and regional issues. The parties emphasized the significance of the consultative meeting being organized within the objective to strengthen Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership and asserted their position for strengthening this mechanism further.
