Foreign Minister, Turkish ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation
On 28 May, Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh received Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia Zafer Ates.
At the outset of the meeting, Foreign Minister B. Battsetseg wished the Ambassador success in his endeavors and exchanged views on Mongolian-Turkish relations and cooperation. Ms. B.Battsetseg touched upon the development of mutually beneficial economic cooperation, enhancement of agricultural cooperation, namely the processing of animal hides and skins, and the production of animal-based products. The Minister further underlined the importance of implementing joint projects in the areas of common interest, including tourism and the free economic zone.
The two sides further discussed the COVID-19 measures as well as the issues of strengthening cooperation between Mongolia and Turkey within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
