The first joint meeting of Honorary Consuls of Mongolia to Latin American countries was held on May 4 in Panama City, Panama. The event was organized by the Embassy of Mongolia in the Republic of Cuba in cooperation with the Honorary Consuls. At the meeting, the Honorary Consuls exchanged opinions on developing active cooperation between Mongolia and the countries of the Latin America in the fields of trade, business, education, culture, and tourism, as well as the steps and measures to be taken in the future to protect the legal rights and interests of Mongolian citizens residing in their respective consular district, while guidelines and recommendations were given to the Honorary Consuls from the Embassy. Furthermore, Ambassador Sh. Battsetseg handed over the seal to Mr. Marco Arica, Honorary Consul appointed to Peru and Mr. Ignacio Bartesaghi, Honorary Consul in Uruguay, and wished them every success in their work.
