The Mongolian delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia Munkhbaatar held an official meeting with the First Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag (Parliament) of the Kingdom of Sweden Kenneth G. Forslund. First Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag expressed gratitude to the Mongolian delegation for the Official Visit to the Kingdom of Sweden and emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits between the two countries for developing inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation at all levels. In turn, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Munkhbaatar noted the significance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in relations between the two countries. The two sides touched upon green technology, culture, education, trade, investment, and ways to protect the interests of the citizens of the two countries. Deputy Chairman Munkhbaatar noted that the Ethnographic Museum of Sweden houses more than 2,300 Mongolian historical and cultural artifacts and proposed displaying a joint exhibition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Sweden in 2024. In this context, the two sides agreed on the importance of celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations in trade, investment, environment, renewable energy, education, and culture.
