Mongolia is to establish extradition treaty with Hong Kong. By establishing the extradition treaty with Hong Kong, law enforcement agencies of Mongolia and Hong Kong will be able to collaborate on investigation, litigation and prosecution of criminal cases. Moreover, legal environment to transfer the Mongolian citizens sentenced to imprisonment and being imprisoned in Hong Kong, but willing to continue the sentence in Mongolia will be resolved. Currently 127 Mongolian citizens reside in Hong Kong and 21 prisoners are imprisoned and two more are suspected of being involved in crime.
