National script is promoted. A national “Beautiful Mongolian Script” contest was organized for the 19th time involving more than 1,000 people throughout the country. The oldest contestant was 90-year old, whereas the youngest was 8-years old. Speaking at the contest, the President of Mongolia Mr. Elbegdorj underlined that the traditional Mongolian script is a wonderful heritage created by the Mongolian people which has been passed down from generation to generation. “The traditional script possesses strong energy and it is not simply a script but it is an art. I really wish the script was widely used nationwide,” said Mr. President.
