Mongolian government urges promoting traditional livestock breeding. The government is determined to encourage economic prosperity by focusing on other sectors than mining. It’s exposed at a meeting of the Prime Minister with Ministers of Food and Agriculture and Finance that the two alternative key economic sectors are construction and agriculture, especially animal husbandry. Mr Prime Minister suggested supporting livestock herders with mortgage loans and the Ministry of Finance was told to investigate possibilities of reducing the interest to single-digit for issuing agricultural loans.
