Ulaanbaatar is to become more tourist-friendly city.
Ulaanbaatar is to become more tourist-friendly city. The City Administration, Mongolian Tourism Federation and the UB Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum envisages the three sides working together in order to achieve a single standard for tourism and trading organizations located in or nearby Ulaanbaatar and to establish a world standard trading center in Ulaanbaatar to sell Mongolian brand products. It also envisages organizing tourism exhibitions for the public, to establish a tourism information center for foreign and domestic tourists and to take strategic measures to prolong tourism season. The expected changes also cover the works with an international airport in the capital city, including making the area around the new airport a free tourism zone and increasing numbers of charter aircrafts in order to make flights to those regions of Mongolia which are not served by domestic flights.
