Mongolia strengthens relations with ADB.
Mongolia strengthens relations with Asian Development Bank. Mongolia’s Ministry of Finance and Asian Development Bank signed an agreement to implement three projects in Mongolia this year. The first project “Integrated Livelihoods Improvement and Sustainable Tourism in Khuvsgul Lake National Park Project” will support local livelihoods through improved capacity for sustainable tourism and subsistence activities, in cooperation with the park administration and other key stakeholders. The second project entitled “Improving School Dormitory Environment for Primary Students in Western Region” will improve the school dormitory environment in three provinces of Mongolia’s western region by incorporating elements responsive to gender, age, and special needs in the water, sanitation and hygiene facility design. The third project “Preparing the Urban Development and Housing Project” is to improve living conditions and quality of life of people in urban centers. 7 million USD funding of the projects will be provided by the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction as free grant.
