Transit rail transportation through Mongolia to be increased.
Transit rail transportation through Mongolia to be increased. It has been decided at a recent Sochi meeting of transport ministers of Mongolia, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. In 2016, 4 million and 120 thousand tons of freight shall be transported from Russia to China through Mongolia. It is 2.1 times increase of transit transportation. 2.5 million tons of the total Russian transit transportation shall be raw oil. The increased transit transportation is hoped to significantly contribute to the national economy.
