Awareness of Mongolia would increase globally with ASEM11. The 11th annual Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM11) scheduled to be held in July in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar, is estimated to bring in maximum 4500 guests from more than 50 countries. By hosting the ASEM11, Mongolia would have a rare opportunity to meet state and government heads of developed Asian and European countries at the same time. ASEM would give Mongolia a chance to set up FTAs or first-level cooperation with many countries within a short time. Mongolia will get limited access to platforms like Paypal, Google Developer and Apple iOS that curtails its opportunity to engage in knowledge economy and conduct global trade. When well guided, this is a big opportunity to showcase Mongolia from fresh angles and leave positive impressions on international media consumers, giving the impetus--and raising the possibility--to visit Mongolia. The 1000 journalists will conduct independent coverage and report most things openly as is.
