Parliamentarians involved in professional exchange program in United States. A Mongolian parliamentary delegation participated in the “Open World” program in the United States to learn about U.S. policies and build professional relationships. “Open World” program provided the participants the insight into the U.S. legislative structure, and facilitated exchange of possible solutions and best practices of shared problems such as environment, air pollution and renewable energy. The Mongolian parliamentarians has been to a garbage management facility in Honolulu to observe the applied solutions that could be relevant to similar waste management issues in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar.
