Mongolia is introduced to history of efficient Blue LEDs. Japan’s 2014 Noble Prize winner in Physics, Prof Hiroshi Amano reads public lectures in Mongolia on ‘Lighting the earth by LEDs.’ The Professor of the Nagoya University won the 2014 Noble Prize for the invention of a new energy efficient and environment-friendly light source – the blue light-emitting diode (LED), which has enabled bright and energy-saving white light sources. Prof Amano is invited by Mongolian Minister of Education. Speaking at a meeting at the Mongolian Education Ministry Prof Amano thanked the Minister for providing an opportunity to do research together with Mongolian professors and students. Mr Minister expressed the hope that Mongolia would in near future see and enjoy the benefit of many students of Prof Amano. During his three day visit Prof Amano will visit labs of National University of Mongolia and Institute of Science and Technology and sign a contract on sending Mongolian students to Amano lab at Nagoya University and.
