Mongolia and Italy consider further development of cooperation ties. President of Mongolia Mr. Elbegdorj welcomed Pietro Grasso, the President of the Senate of Italy, who is taking part in the 9th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) Meeting in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolian President expressed appreciation to Italy, as a member country of the European Union, for supporting Mongolia’s initiatives in the international arena. The President of the Italian Senate noted: “ASEM and ASEP Meetings are important events that would contribute to the relations and cooperation between Asia and Europe, in particular between Mongolia and Italy.” “We have wide opportunities to cooperate in leather production, safety, storage, and distribution of food products, mining, communications and infrastructure sectors. We have a great opportunity to rebuild the Silk Road that will connect Asia and Europe, Italy and Mongolia,” said the President of the Italian Senate.
