Mongolian pharmaceutical capacity doubles.
Mongolian pharmaceutical capacity doubles. The leading local pharmaceutical company Monos Group launched a green-field production facility, which meets Good Manufacturing Practice standard by WHO. The commissioning of the new pharmaceutical complex doubles the domestic pharmaceutical capacity by manufacturing some 90 names of tablets and pills. It is Phase I of the pharmaceutical industry project which has been implemented since 2010 with $9.8 mln funding of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. More manufacturing facilities and infrastructure will come under Phase II which will last until 2020.
