International workshop on “Chinghis Khan and his legacy” will be held in August this year in Ulaanbaatar.
International workshop on “Chinghis Khan and his legacy” will be held in August this year in Ulaanbaatar. An agreement to this effect was reached during the recent visit of Mongolian Foreign Minister to India. During his visit the Mongolian Foreign Minister met with Indian scholars of Mongolian studies and introduced the Mongolian government’s policy on promoting Mongolian studies. Mr. Minister highly appreciated the role of scholarly involvement in the traditional Mongolian-Indian relations, in part in the bilateral cultural and educational cooperation. The Mongolian Minister suggested organizing a workshop on the topic “Chinghis Khan and his legacy“ in coming August in Ulaanbaatar with involvement of Mongolian and Indian scholars and researches of Mongolian studies, and investigating possibilities of using some Persian language sources and other historic documents of India in the study of Mongolian history.
