Mongolian-Chinese education cooperation strengthens. Erlian border city on the Mongolia-China border, will offer fellowships to Mongolian students. Starting from this year, some 460,000 U.S. dollars are to be allocated for the purpose annually and so far, some 430 Mongolian students have received the money. According to the city education authorities, Erlian, in northern China received more than 3,000 students from Mongolia since 1998. There are more than 400 Mongolian students in the city currently.
