Mongolian-Thai cooperation is to be strengthened. The Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Thailand held the 2nd consultative meeting in Bangkok. Underlining the importance of holding reciprocal high-level visits and meetings on a regular basis for expanding the cooperation between the two countries, the sides welcomed implementation of the agreements reached during the 1st consultative meeting. Started under the auspices of Princess of Thailand, the “Lunch” project is succeeding in rural schools of Mongolia, noted the State Secretary of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry. He suggested making regular the workshops for Mongolian young public servants in the frames of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). Mongolia also proposed cooperation in establishment of a vocational training center in Mongolia with TICA support. It would be significant for increasing job opportunities for youths. During the meeting, the parties agreed to support each other within the UN and other international organizations. As a member of the Group of 77, Thailand is prepared to push forward Mongolia’s initiative on establishing an International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries.
