Mongolia’s capital city to become a child-friendly city. The city authority is planning to implement a “child-friendly city initiative” in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Foundation. It is part of the “Child friendly Ulaanbaatar” project of the city municipality which aims to protect the child rights, prevent children against violence and to increase child-focused projects and investments. Also, actions are being taken to socialize marginalized children, help them reunite with their families protect the rights of working children and empower those who work with families. Further actions include launching good will campaigns among children, increasing involvement of child related organization and promoting activities to encourage children’s creative thinking.
