Names of party candidates made public. Political parties submitted to the election commission the list of its nominees. The 29 June parliamentary elections will be held under a majoritarian system and the political parties shall nominate one candidate each for 76 constituencies. As indicated in the election law the Democratic Party and the Mongolian People’s Party gave 20% quota to women candidates and the two parties nominated 16 women candidates each. 11 political parties and three coalitions will run for the elections. Names of independent candidates will be made public on 9 June. The election campaigns shall start on June 11, 18 days prior to the election day.
