Ger perie urban area to be re-planned

Asian Development Bank in cooperation with European Investment Bank will build infrastructural center by re-planning ger-areas where 200 thousand people can live. The first phase of project is expected to be completed in 2018. There’s a future plan to build a kindergarten for 240 children and a Vocational Training Center for 300 students and a business center in two sub centers of the capital city Ulaanbaatar. Moreover, new roads and storm sewer will be installed while landscaping will be done. Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program will bring major change in Ulaanbaatary city development. However, construction is being delayed due to land acquisition . Therefore, City Governor stressed that it is needed to intensify the construction and shorten the implementaion period. Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program will be implemented by total of USD 27.5 million. The second phase of the project will cover two other peri urban districts of the capital city.
