The Philadelphia Orchestra shall stage a concert in Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar next year on the occasion of 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and USA.

The Philadelphia Orchestra shall stage a concert in Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar next year on the occasion of 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the USA. The issue was considered at a meeting between Ambassador of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Mr. Vladimir Petrovic, and Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ts.Munkh-Orgil. Mr. Minister expressed preparedness to provide full support in organizing the upcoming concert.135 members of the Orchestra will perform one outdoor and several indoor concerts in June, as well as meet local music students, professors, industry professionals, and engage in people-to-people activities, workshops and seminars. Established in 1900, the Philadelphia Orchestra is duly considered one of the “Big Five” orchestras in the USA and has performed in numerous cities around the globe. Ulaanbaatar city Mayor’s office has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Orchestra earlier this year in Washington DC which brought this opportunity to its citizens to enjoy the world class music performances.
