Mongolian Premier J.Erdenebat has urged local scientists to find the most feasible solution towards the devastating air pollution that the capital of Mongolia faces every winter.

Mongolian Premier J.Erdenebat has urged local scientists to find the most feasible solution towards the devastating air pollution that the capital of Mongolia faces every winter. According to the statement of the president of Mongolian Academy of Science, there are number of baseline researches on air pollution reduction, however, none of the feasible projects to reduce air pollution had been implemented so far. Accordingly, scientists’ working group will soon propose and submit the concrete proposal based on scientific and pragmatic approaches to the Cabinet. Working group is comprised of leading local scientists and researchers. Provided that the proposal is practical and feasible, the government will implement the scientific proposal. Ulaanbaatar city is now one of the most polluted cities in the world with PM2.5 on average 7 times higher than WHO standards.
