Ulaanbaatar names 2017 as Year of Legal Renovation. With issuance of a direction, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Batbold announced 2017 as a “Year of Participatory Legal Renovation”. The year has been crowned with such theme, in order to implement the 2016-2020 action plan of the Governor of the Capital City and the general guidelines of economic and social development of the capital city in 2017, determine the legal status of Ulaanbaatar, strengthen effective, accessible and accountable municipal governance, improve the quality of and access of the public services provided by the city administration, and to increase citizens’ involvement in decision-making.
