Winter tourism is promoted. An event with the same aim was held this weekend involving 10000 Horses. The event was extraordinary for it offered a chance to see the biggest horse herd gathered in one place. ‘10000 Horses’ festival featured numerous interesting competitions such as to demonstrate the skill to catch a horse with uurga, a long pole with the rope at the end, and catching a horse using a rope. The festival agenda also included a short distance horse race and cavalry stunt performances as well as the performance of songs about horses. There was also held an expo showcasing traditional Mongolian crafts, souvenir and home-made products.
