China Datang seeks to invest in Mongolia’s energy and heating system. China Datang Corporation’s delegation paid a visit to Mongolian Prime Minister J.Erdenebat and expressed its preparedness to share its abundant expertise in coal liquefaction and air pollution reduction approaches. Mr. Prime Minister highlighted that the government supports any form of investment in the energy and heating sector. He told that Mongolia and China have agreed on building joint regional energy generator during the past year’s visit of China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang to Mongolia. Mr. Prime Minister pointed to the need of implementing a comprehensive project on expanding the reach of electric power network, and ensuring reliability of energy resources to reduce the air pollution in the capital city. The government will consider the cooperation with China Datang Corporation in the presence of such a comprehensive project, Mr. Prime Minister underlined. President of China Datang, Mr Chen Jinhang pledged to submit a proposal for a package of project directed at tackling Ulaanbaatar’s air pollution.
