Event was held to promote Kazakh culture and traditions. Bayan-Olgiiaimag's Youth Union in Ulaanbaatar city held an action in the scope of the Nauryz holiday. A Kazakh ger decorated with hand embroidery was assembled in front of Mongolian Youth Association and guests were offered with special cuisines, cookies and dairy products. Kazakh folk songs were performed with dombor, a traditional Kazakh instrument and a show was held to demonstrate training of eagles. The Kazakh people live mostly in Bayan-Ulgii province in western Mongolia where Nauryz is a public holiday which is celebrated on March 21-23 when the length of the day and night are almost equal.
